Acknowledgement of Country

The Shire of Campaspe is the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung, Taungurung, and Yorta Yorta Peoples. We acknowledge all First Peoples and their deep and enduring connection to lands and waterways, upheld through their cultural responsibilities to Country. We pay our respect to Elders past and present for their resilience, sharing of cultural knowledge, and strength in sustaining community and Culture. With a shared commitment to mutual respect, we walk the path of reconciliation together.

Zero Tolerance Statement

Council is committed to creating a safe, productive, and healthy environment for all employees, contractors, volunteers, visitors, and Councillors. Council will not tolerate any form of physical, sexual, emotional, verbal, or psychological abuse, violence, harassment, intimidation, bullying, derogatory remarks, or offensive correspondence. Council acknowledges and extends its zero-tolerance stance to the families of our employees, contractors, volunteers and Councillors, ensuring their protection from any form of abuse or harassment. This includes, but is not limited to, approaching family members of Council employees, contractors, volunteers or Councillors with the intent to intimidate, harass, cause distress or attempt to influence Council matters.
